I have 20 yrs of teaching behind the wheel. To share this expertise and knowledge comforts me. Every time we open the kiln, a surprise awaits, a new experience. Sometimes, it is happiness, and other times it is disappointment. This keeps me alive, excited… Since I get bored easily, I feel that I have found my life’s passion…"

These beautiful hand blown glass angels are labor of love.

Gamze was born in 1970 in Ankara, Turkey. She graduated from Bilkent University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design in 1991. Gamze’s glass adventure, that started in 2003, was shaped by the numerous glass workshops she attended at the Glass Furnace foundation. While Gamze Araz continues functional and artistic creation and production for the Camekan Glass Art and Design brand, she also provides training to many others to meet and be fascinated by hot glass.
